Parent Involvement

Victory Lutheran College values the active involvement of parents in its program and fundraising efforts. The College's aims can only be achieved if parents are aware of, and are actively involved in College programs and activities. A range of formal and informal opportunities exists for parents at a level of commitment of their own choice.

Parents can positively assist and support their children and the staff in many ways and are urged to consider in what capacity they may best contribute to their children's education and well-being. All volunteers over the age of 18 are required to have a Working With Children card and completion of the Valuing Safe Communities training before taking part in any College-related activities involving students.

Parent volunteer opportunities exist in our Canteen, in our classrooms, on camp programs, in the Uniform Shop and in the Library. Special events are also held throughout the year such as Working Bees and the Spring Fair.

Parents gain a great deal through their involvement in the activities of the College and their children receive substantial personal, material and educational benefits as well.

Information about these programs is available directly from the College.
