Schools Tree Day
We were lucky with the weather and lucky to hold a Schools Tree Day within the College groundsJuly 31st 2020
It was a beautiful sunny morning for Foundation and their Year 5 buddies to participate in the Schools Tree Day on Friday, 31st July. Whilst the National Tree Day event was cancelled in the wider community due to COVID-19, schools were allowed to conduct a Tree Day planting activity in classes.
Foundation continued the tradition of planting hedge seedlings along the front College fence line, assisted by their Year 5 buddy.
In the afternoon, Year 2 planted an array of Australian native plants in the Sustainable Learning Area. VCAL students were on hand to help with the heavy digging as the ground was a little hard in some areas.
