Year 4 Convict Day

Convict history loomed large for Year 4 on Wednesday, 23rd June as they plunged themselves into a day of hardship under the cool, but not quite merciless, direction of Captains Widdison and Scott. Students dressed up in their prisoner gear, presented their Convict Identity cards, scrubbed the decks (pavements) and played just a few ‘escape’ relays and games as a culmination to their Integrated Studies unit on Australian history. 

For a bunch of convict prisoners who had it tough, everyone had a lot of fun!
