ANZAC Day celebration
Year 3 share a special ANZAC Day message with our community in a special Chapel ServiceThe first weeks of term are always a busy and exciting time for students and staff as we return with renewed enthusiasm and energy for the term ahead. Year 3 had a particularly important start to the term in leading our ANZAC Day Chapel.
Students were able to enter Luther Hall through a homage to Flanders Fields of handmade poppies crafted by Year 3.
Linking the courage and compassion of the ANZACs with the core values of our College, Year 3 reflected on the bravery of the ANZACs, particularly the historic Gallipoli landing and shared their reading of 'This Old Thing' by Cassandra Webb.
Students from each year level laid a wreath as part of the Service.
We were honoured to welcome guest speaker, Lieutenant Lauren Radich from Bandiana Army Logistics Training Centre, whose message reflected on the enduring significance of ANZAC Day, and how it remains vital for our present and future.
Our sincere thanks to the Catafalque party for their presence as our community acknowledged and remembered our Service men and women.
LEST WE FORGET
