Digital Learning

If we teach today’s students as we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow.

BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) PROGRAM - 2019

By facilitating a BYOD model, Victory Lutheran College intends to empower students and give them direct involvement in the way they use technology in their learning. At the same time, BYOD enables teachers to build on their own experiences and adapt to this new environment where core skills are enhanced through student-centred learning.

We have undertaken a review of our 2018 BYOD Program during Term 3 with feedback collected from our students, parents/guardians and teaching staff. As a result of this review, the College will continue and expand our BYOD program in 2019:

  • Years 5-12 Students – mandatory for all students in Years 5 to 12 to have a device meeting the College’s specifications as per our 2019 BYOD Handbook.
  • Year 4 Students – optional for Year 4 students to have a device meeting the College’s specifications as per our 2019 BYOD Handbook. Devices will be available to students in Year 4 to access from the College provided ‘COWS - Computers on Wheels’ which will be booked for required lessons by teaching staff as needed.

Full information relating to Bring Your Own Device Program is detailed in the handbook below:
