Clue: On Stage (High School Edition)
The mystery has been solved!Directing Clue: On Stage (High School Edition) was an incredibly rewarding experience. Guiding our Secondary students through the intricacies of theatrical performance involved not only mastering the art of acting but also discovering the powerful impact a live orchestra can have on an audience.
Our actors and musicians committed to twice-weekly rehearsals and weekend sessions to play with the comedic script and learn the musical score to match. The scope of the production kept everyone on their toes but we watched our students grow in confidence, overcome challenges and find a sense of belonging within their performing arts family.
Performing in The Cube added a professional layer to the experience, providing a stunning venue for our actors to bring their characters to life and showcase the theatrical skills they had worked so diligently to refine. The audience feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We were thrilled to hear how much our community enjoyed the comedic portrayal of this iconic film and board game-inspired play.
The music performed was also a vibrant testament to the growth and teamwork of our 12-piece theatre orchestra (from Years 4-12) in bringing the exciting score to life under the guidance of Musical Director, Mr Andrew Baker. What made this orchestra truly special was their spirit of collaboration with experienced players mentoring beginners, fostering a culture of support and unity.
School productions remain a cherished learning opportunity at Victory, bringing together staff and the Secondary Performing Arts department biennially. Ultimately, the most beautiful part of any production is the sense of community it creates. To our parents, carers, and wider community, thank you. Your support, engagement and encouragement were invaluable. Thank you for championing our students and celebrating the Performing Arts within our community.
