2023 Opening Service

A new year. New things.

A big hello and welcome to the new school year at Victory Lutheran College. It is great to have our students and staff back and into the swing of things.

I was officially installed as Chaplain of Victory Lutheran College on Friday 3rd February in front of our students, staff parents/carers and many guests. I feel very humbled and blessed to be given the opportunity to serve the Victory community as Chaplain, and I look forward to working with you all as we go on this faith journey together.

Many of you may know me as Mr Klemke, as I have been working at the College for the past nine years as a Secondary teacher. However, many of you may not know that I have also volunteered and ministered as a Pastor during this time in local Churches around the area. I have been blessed to grow up having many avenues which supported me in my faith journey, where one of the key contributors was my schooling.

Proverbs 22:6 says:

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it”.

We can never underestimate the power of the truth/Word of God, as “the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)

An invitation to join us at Chapel

Each week students have the opportunity to explore this truth through their Christian Studies classes, morning devotions, conversations with staff and other students and finally through our Chapel Services.

For your information they run at the following times:

Secondary Chapel
  • Wednesdays 8:50am - 9:10am
Primary Chapel
  • Fridays 9:00am - 9:30am

Parents/Carers and the wider community are more than welcome to join us for these services, with a variety of special events taking place within these throughout the year. You can keep up-to-date with this through Cirrus and the newsletter.

Finally, as we begin this new year, my prayer is that God will continue to make himself real to each one of you, I pray blessing on all our community.
