Victory Lutheran College is seeking a passionate educator to join our Secondary School as a Teacher of Visual Arts, Media Arts and Photography.

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who values creativity, student voice and authentic learning experiences. Through Visual Arts, Media Arts and Photography, you will empower students to explore ideas, develop their creative identity and communicate meaning through a range of contemporary and traditional media. You will play an important role in celebrating student achievement and creating learning experiences that inspire curiosity, imagination and artistic growth.

Position Details

  • Ongoing teaching position commencing January 2027.
  • Part-time or Full-time position available.
  • Teaching across Years 7–12, including opportunities within VCE Art subjects.
  • A willingness to teach Christian Studies may be an advantage.


About the role

As a Teacher of Visual Arts, Media Arts and Photography, you will inspire students to explore ideas, develop their creative voice and communicate meaning through a range of visual, digital and photographic media. Working alongside colleagues across the Secondary School, you will create engaging learning experiences that foster creativity, critical thinking, technical skill development and artistic expression.

You will:

  • Deliver high-quality Visual Arts, Media Arts and Photography programs across Years 7–12.
  • Design engaging learning experiences that develop creativity, technical skills, visual literacy and critical thinking.
  • Support students to investigate, create, refine and present artistic and media works using a variety of traditional and digital processes.
  • Foster safe, inclusive and purposeful studio and learning environments.
  • Build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Showcase and celebrate student learning through exhibitions, displays, publications and community events.
  • Contribute to excursions, competitions, exhibitions and co-curricular activities where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student learning, wellbeing and achievement.

Specific Qualifications and requirements

  • Qualifications and experience relevant to Visual Arts, Media Arts and Photography.
  • Experience teaching Visual Arts, Media Arts and/or Photography in a school setting would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated confidence with contemporary creative technologies, digital media and photographic processes.
  • Current VIT registration (or the ability to obtain registration prior to commencement).
  • Experience teaching or a willingness to teach VCE Art courses would be an advantage.
