Year 6 Canberra Camp

Year 6 students enjoyed their three days in the nation's capital.

On Monday 26th November, students from the three Year 6 classes travelled to Canberra for the annual Canberra camp. The first day gave students the opportunity to see Parliament in action as they visited Parliament House and witnessed a lively question time in the House of Representatives. Day 2 involved a visit to the Australian Institute of Sport, Old Parliament House and the War Memorial. On the final day in Canberra, students visited the Royal Australian Mint, Canberra Zoo, Questacon and finished the evening with ice skating. By the time Thursday rolled around, everyone was in need of a rest and enjoyed the leisurely drive back down the freeway. Students conducted themselves in an exemplary fashion whilst away and should be congratulated on their conduct and enthusiasm.
