Victory Lutheran College is seeking an experienced and collaborative educator to lead our Health & Physical Education Learning Area, supporting high-quality teaching, innovative curriculum design and strong student outcomes across Years 7–12. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Health & PE educator to provide curriculum leadership, mentor colleagues and drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning and assessment. Working alongside the Director of Learning, Learning Leaders and Secondary Leadership Team, you will play a key role in strengthening Health & PE education while continuing to teach within your specialist field.

Position Details

  • Ongoing teaching position with a fixed-term Position of Responsibility.
  • Health & PE Learning Area leadership across Years 7–12.
  • Category C Level 2 Position of Responsibility.
  • Five lessons release per fortnight for leadership responsibilities.


About the role

As Learning Leader: Health & PE, you will provide leadership and oversight of curriculum, assessment and teaching practice across Years 7–12. You will work closely with teachers, the Sport Coordinator and College leaders to ensure students experience engaging, challenging and relevant learning that supports their physical, social and emotional development. 

You will:

  • Lead curriculum design, implementation and review across the Health & PE Learning Area.
  • Support and mentor teachers to strengthen classroom and practical teaching practice.
  • Drive assessment consistency, moderation and quality assurance processes.
  • Analyse student achievement data to inform Learning Area improvement priorities.
  • Support the development of innovative Health & PE programs.
  • Collaborate with the Sport Coordinator and Sport & Recreation Assistant to support high-quality sport, recreation and outdoor learning experiences.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, growth and excellence within the Learning Area.
  • Contribute to the strategic leadership and ongoing development of the Secondary School.

Appropriate qualifications and current VIT registration (or the ability to obtain it) are required.
