An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an experienced Science educator to join Victory Lutheran College as Learning Leader: Science.
Working alongside the Director of Learning and Secondary Leadership Team, you will lead curriculum development, support teacher growth and foster a culture of continuous improvement across Years 7–12, while maintaining an active role in the classroom.
Position Details
- Ongoing teaching position with a fixed-term Position of Responsibility.
- Science Learning Area leadership across Years 7-12.
- Category C Level 2 Position of Responsibility.
- Six lessons release per fortnight for leadership responsibilities.
About the role
The Learning Leader: Science provides leadership and oversight of curriculum, assessment and teaching practice across Years 7-12. The role plays a key part in ensuring students experience engaging, challenging and high-quality Science learning opportunities that inspire curiosity and build pathways for future success.
You will:
- Lead curriculum design, implementation and review across the Science Learning Area.
- Support and mentor Science teachers to continually strengthen teaching practice.
- Drive assessment consistency, moderation and quality assurance processes.
- Analyse student achievement data to inform improvement priorities.
- Lead Science Week, STEM initiatives and enrichment opportunities.
- Support and oversee laboratory operations, resources and practical learning experiences.
- Promote innovation, inquiry and evidence-informed teaching practices.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the Secondary School.

Appropriate qualifications and current VIT registration (or the ability to obtain it) are required.
