Victory Lutheran College is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Primary School as Director of Learning – Primary.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educational leader who is passionate about teaching excellence, curriculum innovation and building the capacity of others. Working closely with the Head of Primary and College Leadership Team, you will provide strategic and instructional leadership across the Primary School, driving high-quality teaching, evidence-informed practice and improved student outcomes.
Position Details
- Fixed-term leadership appointment (2027-2029) with a protected ongoing 1.0 FTE teaching position.
- 0.7 FTE leadership allocation and 0.3 FTE teaching allocation.
- Position of Responsibility: Category D, Level 2.
- Leadership allowance commensurate with experience and expertise.
About the role
The Director of Learning – Primary provides strategic and instructional leadership for teaching and learning across the Primary School. Leading curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, reporting and professional learning, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement while ensuring high-quality learning experiences for every student.
You will:
- Provide strategic leadership for teaching and learning across the Primary School.
- Lead curriculum implementation, review and continuous improvement.
- Drive excellence in assessment, moderation, reporting and data-informed practice.
- Support teachers through coaching, mentoring and targeted professional learning.
- Promote evidence-based teaching practices and instructional excellence.
- Lead NAPLAN administration and support the analysis of student achievement data.
- Work collaboratively with wellbeing, learning enhancement and secondary leaders to support student success and seamless transitions.
- Contribute to strategic planning, school improvement and workforce development initiatives.
- Model the Christian values and ethos of the College.

Appropriate qualifications and current VIT registration
