Year 12 Class of 2020 - Final Assembly

Farewell Year 12 Class of 2020

Given the current restrictions, it was a very different Final Assembly for our Year 12 Class of 2020 as they were really the only ones present. This year, we have been reminded of the importance of making the most of those situations that cross our paths, looking for the positives and learning from our experiences. So we are grateful for the opportunity to acknowledge them together and wish them all the best as they begin the next stage of their adult life. We live streamed the Final Assembly for our Foundation to Year 11 classes and out to the parents/guardians and families of our Year 12 students. We hope that our Year 12 parents/guardians and families felt a part of this important tradition.

It was lovely also to see our Foundation and Year 1 students celebrate with the Year 12 students outside by throwing streamers and cheering them out of Luther Hall (of course while being COVID-Safe). We wish our Year 12 Class of 2020 all the best now as they complete their VCE exams and encourage them to make the necessary short-term sacrifices to give themselves every opportunity to get their personal best result.

A few weeks prior to the final assembly, Foundation students signed just their first name on their Year 12 Super Buddy's Valedictory bear (we like to think possibly in doing so naming the bear??). A small thank you in recognition of the few precious times Year 12 were able to meet with the Foundies to help them become familiar with 'big school'.
